What is Insomnia?
Have you ever had a night where you were just unable to get to sleep regardless of what you did? If you have experiences one of these nights than you may be experiencing insomnia on a temporary basis – but what would you do if this were a nightly occurrence and you were unable to get to sleep, or unable to stay asleep night after night?
There are many factors which can cause insomnia. These factors include the patient experiencing high levels of stress which are becoming worrisome and manifesting into the time that the patient is falling asleep.
Insomnia is characterized by one of two events. The patient may have trouble falling asleep and have a restless time in bed tossing and turning until the early hours of the morning. As an alternative, the patient may be able to get to sleep but then is unable to remain asleep through the hours of the night, creating broken sleep patterns.
There are many cures that have been used for insomnia and the treatment of patients that are unable to remain asleep, or get to sleep at night. From sleeping medications that are available over the counter or on the recommendation of a physician to healthy and natural remedies, insomnia cures can be found at a variety of places. There are many effective cures which can be used to combat the insomnia that has a variety of causes.
