What is Anxiety Phobia?
Anxiety phobia occurs when a patient suffers from anxiety regarding a certain fear or something that has come to be known as a fear. Since the patient is afraid of the event, item or experience which results in a phobia, the patient creates an anxiety for this fear that can cause symptoms which are similar to an anxiety attack. At this point, the patient may become fearful of the anxiety attack itself, which can lead to worsening symptoms.
To reduce the fears associated with anxiety phobia there are many things that a patient can do. The patient can find the triggers of the anxiety attacks by keeping a journal which can outline potential triggers in activities and surroundings, even thoughts. After five to ten anxiety attacks are experienced the patient can begin to look for patterns in the journal. In the case that a pattern is found the patient can than reduce the exposure to this element which has been known to cause anxiety attacks.
Identifying these triggers is a positive way to reduce the symptoms of and also reduce the instances of the patient experiencing an anxiety attack. This reduction in attacks can lead to the patient living a balanced life, but also the anxiety phobia being reduced in turn!
