Restless Sleep

restless sleep Restless SleepUp to seventy percent of people experience bouts of restless sleep that can be associated with the early onset of insomnia at least some point in their life. This can be for a variety of reasons such as short term stress or duress as well as poor sleeping habits or a change in sleeping situations. There are many ways that the body can become susceptible to insomnia, especially if poor sleeping habits are created.

There are many things that the patient can do to reduce the symptoms that come along with restless sleep. These aspects are removing caffeine from the diet. This means that soda and coffee as well as other foods and beverages that contain high levels of caffeine should be removed from the diet early on in the day to avoid these affecting the sleep later in the day.
Removing all distractions from the bedroom before going to sleep such as music and television and ensuring that the room is dark and a comfortable temperature is also an effective way to reduce the restlessness that can come from the onset of insomnia. Before going to sleep, consider taking time to complete a relaxing activity that can be developed as a habit and ensure that the body has the time to settle down through the course of the night and therefore reduce the restless sleep that can come through the night.
